We’re proud of our fantastic display homes and want to share them with our customers no matter where they are or what their circumstances may be. Whether it’s too far to travel, you’re practicing social distancing, or you love the comfort of your couch (who could blame you!), we’ve come up with an exciting way for you to tour our displays on your smart device or laptop.
We’re not just talking about browsing our photo gallery or reviewing our professionally designed floor plans. We’re talking about touring a display home that gives you a full understanding of the space. These are Metricon 3D Virtual Display Tours
Thanks to a combination of infrared and photogrammetry scanners, you can now take a walk through dozens of our beautiful display homes in 3D, controlling where you go and what you see as it appears in real life.
And for those who prefer the real world to virtual reality, the 3D tool is still a fantastic way to create a shortlist of the Metricon display homes you like best so that there’s less travel involved when you do hit the road.
Now let’s show you how to access this great feature and get the most out of your virtual tour.
How to view
The easiest way to view our 3D Virtual Display Tours is by hovering over ‘Home Designs’ in the top left of your screen and clicking on the ‘Virtual Tours’ tile. That will take you to the full list of homes available to tour in 3D in your region.
Alternatively, if you’re browsing our entire range of homes, keep an eye out for the 3D logo in the top-left corner of each display home icon. If it has the logo, you can step in and walk through the display home.
You can also use our advanced search function to filter for only homes that have the 3D tour available. It allows you to set other parameters the houses you want to see — things like size, brand, features, price and more.
Once you’ve clicked through to the home that you want to inspect, scroll down to the gallery to find the virtual tours option. Once you launch the tour, there are three exciting ways to tour our homes in 3D. They are:
Live floorplan view
Floorplans
give you a bird’s eye view of the real display home – fully decorated
and ready to live in. This perspective provides a better understanding
of the layout, allowing you to zoom in and out to gain an understanding
of each room and its position in the home.
First person
Have you ever used Google Street View to find your way around before? Our first-person view is similar to that. It allows you to click your way around the home as if you are walking through it. You can move from room to room, and in each spot see a full 360 degrees around you.
Dollhouse view
Dollhouse view is where you can start to have a little fun. In this view, the home is yours to rotate and zoom in on as you wish. Here you can examine the house from all perspectives.
